Fasting Cat

My cat is 20 years old and has been healthy all her life. She is an inside/outside cat who never leaves the porch.

She got attacked by a dog that lefted her with pucture wounds on both sides of her body.

I took her home and she automatically went into a fast. She only drank water for 8 days. She had access to food but refused it and sleeped most of the time.

She was swelled up and looked very bad. When she broke her fast she had completely recovered and started eating in small amounts and now is eating back to normal. For a cat that is 20 years old it is amazing that she survived an attack.
